Ooooo... so good, it's spooky!
And yes to leaving the triangle. It floats suggestively in the upper left. A watchful spirit?
Thanks, too, for the post of yesterday. I felt echoes from some of my own inner companions... Al's comment about "the smile" that signifies the presence of the entity was sobering.
all the best,

Dear Desmene--
I'm so glad you can see the gargoyle, others thought it was a metaphorophoto for my crumpled feet, not so.... well, maybe. Personally I think the damn little thing is either roaring or grinning from ear to ear.
Some of the best parts of ourselves get all tied up, so I don't really feel too scared when one is uncovered. Not that you've seen me jumping for joy in the last few entries either.
Always lovely to hear from you. D
Posted by Dakota at June 24, 2005 05:58 PMThe white shape can be seen a number of different ways... a claw (foot) is certainly one, but I also see a profile.
What is most spooky to me is the shadow-- like a head and shoulders of some large dark man.
But that's just me of course.
Hope the seaside was breezy!

Now that you mention it, I can see the large dark man too. I think the straw wrapper part will always be a little griffin with a wide open mouth and a tail to me, though.
The seaside was indeed breezy, even though the heat was close to unbearable. How are you faring without a seaside out there in the midwest? Best D
