Hi Dakota F:
I love your description of our group! It fits us to a tee! It was lovely to have you come to my new home healing space. I spoke with our leader re my upcoming session with you. She thinks I could use toning even more than EMDR although I'd like to do that too.
Of course you can use the "Atlanta" sculpture. It was created as a trophy to award in my mother's name to track and fleld winners at Radcliffe. I can find out more from my uncle who set it up. I had packed her away when I left my old office in 1998 to go to my current office, I believe. She has been in storage ever since! I think she is liberating herself as I am from being cooped up by so much stuff from our past!
It was lovely giving you the tour, and sharing my family stuff that I have chosen to bring into my husband's and my new home. It feels so different from a year ago when I didn't know what to put up, or display, and felt burdened by it all....Also, I loved reading about your lung chi, etc. and knowing that my dear and gifted neighbor is working with you! It is such a small world!
I have an appt with one of my energy healers this am to clear out some of my digestive stuff and bring in more light. My guides wonder "why I'm not answering the phone" when they are apparently trying to send me lots of messages(!) and want her to help me heighten my awareness(!) I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to attend 2 Thanksgivings at 2 ends of MA on Thursday, with my crab dip in tow, carpooling my father and his girl friend, and attend an Italian wedding of my husband's cousin on Saturday(!) I am taking one step at a time and breathing slowly.....I'll call you today or tomorrow to check in.
You inspired me to begin scheduling clients at home. I had 2 Thursday am, have 2 this pm, and 2 Monday pm. It feels exciting and right to begin to seriously transition more to home. I liked seeing the healing space through your artistic eyes as I tend just to see what I still have left to do. Thus far, my clients are loving it.... It is so easy to stay at home. The last time I had a home practice was 1994--almost 10 years!!!!!.....
I've paid all our bills this am to be really clear when I go into session and complete this week before seeing family and hoping to reach my birthday next weekend feeling caught up. Am determined not to have anything hanging over me when I enter the New Year.
As I write this, I wonder how many of us women are trying to juggle all these roles as we go into Family Thanksgiving? How many hours of preparation does that consume to make sure everyone's Thanksgiving goes smoothly for both genders and for all ages? Wow, what a concept!!!!! I am very thankful for many blessings, notwithstanding.....
Can't wait to see what you put next on your Blog!
(Hope this isn't too long a comment! I've never done this before and don't know BLOG etiquette!)
Love,
O. :)
