Thanks for the link and the correction! ;-)

I think your point is well taken, and although no one can predict when, it's getting more and more media play.

Dakota,

Sweetie...

I know you're really worried about the avian flu, but you're really more likely to get hit by a bus. As the manufacturers of the iPod would say, "Life is random."

Please, stop worrying about this and let yourself enjoy life.

Laura -- dear, the CDC, WHO, and almost every national health service isn't warning that 20-100 million people may get hit by buses this/next year. D's not being morbid, she's being realistic, and probably having a great time stocking her basement.

Dakota -- found this on the web, might be useful.

Just back from the weekend to find an unexpected flurry on my unmanned ship.

Thank you Dem and An0n for the excellent links.

Oh Laura, I know you, and many of the people who care about me, think I am worrying unnecessarily. I like to think of myself as preparing purposefully. My gizzards are certainly not in a twist like they were around the election.

I just don't want to be the only liberal left in the USA post pandemic -- you can bet the neocons will scoop up all the tamiflu for themselves, when the time comes.

I am ashamed to say that An0n is right, I am enjoying stocking my larder, probably much more that I should be - stay tuned for the red wine research.
